In my case it was either an ident and DNS lookup that was causing the delay. I am using qmail. If there was a massive knowledge base for FreeBSD and the ports, I think resolving these issues would be quite simple. Currently I have to search deja, the mailing list, google, etc to find what I need. Microsoft, regardless of what others say, has a very good knowledge base and would be a good example to follow. Anyone know of knowledge base web software? I would be willing to host it. I imagine it would not be hard to write, but I don't have the time.
