I'm missing a section about apsfilter in the handbook ;-) That would surely offer more to you..., see signature. Create /usr/local/apsfilter and unpack the tgz archive there. SETUP will install a printer for you in printcap. After that you will be able to print like hell: lpr ascii.gz tex.dvi.Z picture.gif file.PS The filter does an automatic filetype detection an conversion and works without temporary files. Works perfectly here on FreeBSD-stable (2.1). I'm currently working on a package for FreeBSD's pkg_add, but since I'm busy, I'd suggest not to wait for that...
