Yikes. Why can't you go to the updated ports and "make && make install" in the bind 9.1 directory? I have 4 machines here that I just recently updated. Some are on FreeBSD 4.1.1 and some on 4.2. These are production machines that I'd much rather just update bind on and leave the rest alone.
