Unfortunately, we have a small issue with Elasticsearch 9.x (and 8.19.x to some extent). Building ES requires several JDKs: 17 to 25, including non-LTS ones. Since the ports tree EOL'ed versions 19/20/22/23, I've had to resort to removing certain parts of the source code to allow ES to compile. This worked with 8.19, but with a catch: it won't work with anything past JDK 21.
