I searched for "freebsd xfce" and got directly to x11-wm.html, which is section 5.6. Nothing on that page points back to 5.3 (or, as I can see now, the good stuff on 5.4). I don't know if this is an actionable bug. That is, I bet many other handbook pages that are section X.6 rely on you having started reading at X.1. If you agree, feel free to close this report. If not, a simple pointer at the top of the page that says "You must have Xorg already set up and should probably read this whole chapter starting at 5.1" would be useful.
