  Log:
  Second part of making SMP_AUTOSTART optional.  With this option not
  specified (it's off by default), "sysctl -w kern.smp_active=2" is needed
  again.  Sigh.  Still, at least it works faster this way.  (best I've got
  from 'time make -jN' is 192% usage on a 2-cpu system.)
