Greg, Thanks for the reply. I have tried running it both as root and the user www with no success. I can not even get the example jsp pages to work with the package. Would anyone be willing to point me to a way to debug (gdb?) the core files so that i can find out exactly what is causing the crashes so i can post it back to the list? I am using 1.4 with Tomcat 4.0.3 and i am not having any problems with it running as either www or root so this has to be something specific to Orion. Also i am able to use all the sample jsp's and ejb's with the native jdk 1.3.1. Thanks again. I think the Linux JDK 1.4 will crash on FreeBSD unless you run it as root (ouch). There have been some discussion of this on the list, I suggest reading the archives for more information - hopefully someone has a workaround for this. The native jdk 1.4 saw the first commits yesterday. Its far from even being a patchset candidate at this stage though. -- Greg Lewis Email : glewis@eyesbeyond.com Eyes Beyond Web : http://www.eyesbeyond.com Information Technology To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-java" in the body of the message
