gdm+gnome with automatic login enabled leave black screen with "wait" 
cursor. (Without automatic login they work fine)
I tried this only on 11, so not sure if this is 11-specific.

Auto-login was enabled in custom.conf:
[daemon]
AutomaticLoginEnable = true
AutomaticLogin = acct_name
