Well, installing FreeBSD is really simple. If you're not sure, make a dos bootdisk with CD-rom support enabled. Format the C drive and reboot from the disk. After that, insert the freebsd cdrom. There is a file named fbsdboot.exe which would boot you to freebsd if you run it. After that, everything is pretty much menu-based. If fbsdboot.exe doesn't work, you'll have to create a freebsd boot floppy to take you to the installation menu. Everything is documented in great detail.
