FYI: guspnp12.tar.gz (version 3.5-alpha11-9707223) works on FreeBSD-2.2.2. I used the same compile directory, simply removing the old sound objects, added a -DNOGUSPNP to the command line and did a make. the only changes required to isa.c is to get rid of the annoying "isa_dmastart: channel X busy" message. --mark.
