Basically, until gnomeng is complete, you will have to do a little hacking to get GNOME 1.4.1 apps to work under GNOME 2.0. Since it sounds like you have galeon installed already, simply remove the ports listed at: http://www.freebsd.org/gnome/docs/faq2.html#q4 And reinstall the GNOME 2.0 counterparts.
