Precisely.  History has also shown us that this invariably doesn't
even work, said code having a far greater tendency to rot rather than
get fixed.  Did not Julian himself start his defense of DEVFS with a
comment that he'd gotten none of the help he'd hoped for?

I rest my case. :)
