However, the drive is still detected as having the wrong number of sectors at boot time and there is still no way of correcting this (AFAIK). The installation program appears to ignore both the BIOS data and any existing disklabel. It is possible to enter a different geometry in the slice editor, but it does not re-calculate the number of sectors. In 2.0R, it was possible to re-label the disk and then re-install, with the correct disk label being recognised. wdc0 at 0x1f0-0x1f7 irq 14 on isa wdc0: unit 0 (wd0): <Conner Peripherals 340MB - CFA340B> wd0: 327MB (670320 sectors), 665 cyls, 16 heads, 63 S/T, 512 B/S In fact it is a 425MB disk with 832608 sectors. This is not critical, as it's a fairly mediocre machine that I only use for dialling-up, but it would be nice to get it sorted out. Other than that, 2.1.0R is excellent! James Segmentation fault (core dumped): cannot find file '.signature'
