https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=295985 --- Comment #4 from Brett Farnam <brett.farnam@gmail.com> --- (In reply to Adrian Chadd from comment #3) >From what I can find, in the legacy ixgbe drivers this was handled via mutexes. If you are using the iflib (I remember something about not using the intel ixgbe driver in the diff discussion) perhaps this is the issue? This did work fine in the 15.x when using the diff file (and calling the old modified ixgbe). I did find some interesting information on the marvel switch not supporting a configuration eprom - it needs to be configured by the kernel at boot. https://github.com/ZoranStojsavljevic/MV88E6190_SWITCH_SETUP https://forums.servethehome.com/index.php?threads/dell-vep-vmware-edge-velo-cloud-sd-wan-veracloud-vep1400-vep1400-x-firewall-units.39392/#:~:text=rmmod%20ixgbe%2C%20i2cset%20%2Dy%201%200x31%200x1%200xff%2C%20then%20rescan%20PCI%20bus%20with%20the%20newly%20found%20igb%20ports I don't know if any of that helps.
