according to the folks at mylex....suspect the following candidates in 
descending order of likelyhood (I have the same problem on  a number of mylex 
raid / seagate lvd combos....

termination
cable
hdd firmware
hdd
adapter firmware
adapter

Well they would...wouldn't they?
