Oh -- you modified the .cf file directly (vs. making a .mc file & then using "make" to generate the .cf file)? Unfortunate. (I'd consider this Yet Another Reason to avoid the "hack^Wupdate sendmail.cf file directly" approach.) Perhaps you could try putting together a .mc file for 8.8.8 that generates a .cf file that has the same functionality that's in your present .cf, then generate a .cf file with it for the 8.9.1 environment?
