Hi, please include the following lines in the Handbook 24.3.1 'Branding the Linux binaries' for the installation of Mathematica 4.x brandelf -t Linux /localdir/Files/SystemFiles/Graphics/Binaries/Linux/* brandelf -t Linux /localdir/Files/SystemFiles/Converters/Binaries/Linux/* brandelf -t Linux /localdir/Files/SystemFiles/LicenseManager/Binaries/Linux/mathlm These are needed for those who want to run the license manager and those who like to use the kernel without the Frontend (but with x11!).
