The following reply was made to PR ports/156335; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Thomas Rasmussen <thomas@gibfest.dk> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, thomas@gibfest.dk Cc: Subject: Re: ports/156335: www/firefox: Repeatable firefox-4.0_1,1 crash Date: Tue, 12 Apr 2011 21:43:21 +0200 I did some additional testing on my laptop, which is also running 8.2 amd64. I can recreate the problem there, but only when the VLC plugin is installed in Firefox. To recreate you need to install multimedia/vlc with the "VLC Mozilla Plugin" option enabled, so I am not sure if this is a Firefox or a VLC problem. However, if I disable the VLC plugin Firefox doesn't crash, so the problem is definately related to the plugin somehow. The VLC version installed on both machines is vlc-1.1.8,3
