This list at the time attributed it to a hardware issue, probably faulty memory. Try doing a make clean, to clean up everything, and try again. If the make fails at a different place each time, then its definatly a hardware problem. My solution was to try doing the make over, and over, and after about 10 tries it got all the way through.
