------=_Part_8003601_1726635314.1700300520168 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi, I am having a rough time while trying to learn how to implement thin jails = in a FreeBSD system operating in UFS. This corresponds to Chapter 17 of the= handbook. I followed the handbook carefully three times without success.=C2=A0I have = been also=C2=A0trying to get some support from both the FreeBSD forums and = from libera FreeBSD IRC channels without success. I have also read the man = page for jail. Essentially trying to follow the steps for thin jails from the handbook lea= ds me to:- Not being able to understand the role of=C2=A0different director= ies, role of template -if any-,=C2=A0mount=C2=A0points and role of NullFS i= n Thin jails.- Not being able to reach a working system by carefully follow= ing the steps given in the handbook. The steps and errors are documented here: Thread 'Issue while following the handbook to create a Thin Jail using Null= FS' https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/issue-while-following-the-handbook-to-cr= eate-a-thin-jail-using-nullfs.91015/ If I can further help or test or even amend the documentation I would be gl= ad to contribute, but at this point the problem is that the information is = not enough to even understand the topic first. Thanks, ------=_Part_8003601_1726635314.1700300520168 Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html xmlns=3D"http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:v=3D"urn:schemas-microso= ft-com:vml" xmlns:o=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"><head><!--[= if gte mso 9]><xml><o:OfficeDocumentSettings><o:AllowPNG/><o:PixelsPerInch>= 96</o:PixelsPerInch></o:OfficeDocumentSettings></xml><![endif]--></head><bo= dy> <br style=3D"-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; overflow-wrap: break-word !imp= ortant;"><span style=3D"-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">Hi,</span><br styl= e=3D"-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; overflow-wrap: break-word !important;"= ><div style=3D"-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; overflow-wrap: break-word !i= mportant;"><br style=3D"overflow-wrap: break-word !important;"></div><div s= tyle=3D"-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; overflow-wrap: break-word !importan= t;">I am having a rough time while trying to learn how to implement thin ja= ils in a FreeBSD system operating in UFS.
