Do you happen to know if Linux has similar problems on this hardware? One thing you might try is booting a MINIMAL kernel and seeing whether that= 's able to shut down properly. When trying this, make sure to configure devmatch_enable=3D"NO" to prevent drivers from being loaded automatically. Are you using any drm modules, such as amdgpu?
