They're excellent controllers, and compare very well to the Adaptec
units.  The 7880-based adaptecs (2940UW) are perhaps a little better,
but it's hard to quantify this.  Tha 7860-based Adaptec controllers
(2940U, 2940AU) are a _lot_ worse.
