Hi Koobs, Talsimon pointed me to 226135 here https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/python27-problem-at-packaging-stage.51189/#post-379239 and I tried the patch on two jails, success both times. I think it is good. (my comment on the PR is #18). I'm happy to do any more testing. -David -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: Problem building python27-2.7.14_1 on FreeBSD 10.3-RELEASE-p26 #0 r327588 From: Kubilay Kocak <koobs@FreeBSD.org> To: David Gessel <gessel@blackrosetech.com>, python@FreeBSD.org Date: Wed Feb 28 2018 05:14:05 GMT+0300 > On 2/27/18 10:14 PM, David Gessel wrote: >> Dear Python >> >> I am having a new and unexpected build problem with Python: >> >> Either >> root@matanawa:/usr/ports/lang/python # make install clean >> or >> using portmaster results in >> >> >> ===> Installing for python27-2.7.14_1 >> ===> Checking if python27 already installed >> ===> Registering installation for python27-2.7.14_1 as automatic >> pkg-static: Unable to access file /var/ports/usr/ports/lang/python27/work/stage/usr/local/lib/python2.7/lib-dynload/_elementtree.so:No such file or directory >> pkg-static: Unable to access file /var/ports/usr/ports/lang/python27/work/stage/usr/local/lib/python2.7/lib-dynload/pyexpat.so:No such file or directory >> *** Error code 74 >> > > Hi David, > > This is being tracked in > https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=226135 > > If you could test the attached patch and verify (add a comment) that the > issue is resolved, that would be appreciated. > > ./koobs >
