If by virtual screen you mean a desktop that's bigger that the current
screen resolution it's controlled in the 'display' chunk of the config file:
Subsection "Display"
Depth 32
Modes "640x480" "800x600"
ViewPort 0 0
Virtual 800 600
If you set the 'Virtual' bit to the same resolution as your screen that
should fix it.
