If, while fetching a port, the transfer is interrupted (e.g. Ctrl-C), the
resulting file is not deleted. This leaves a truncated DISTFILE,
requiring manual intervention to delete:

jedgar@splat:/usr/ports/mail/postfix$ make fetch
>> postfix-19991231-pl08.tar.gz doesn't seem to exist on this system.
>> Attempting to fetch from ftp://ftp.merit.edu/postfix/official/.
Receiving postfix-19991231-pl08.tar.gz (795621 bytes): 9%^C

78676 bytes transferred in 19.4 seconds (3.96 kBps)
fetch: transfer interrupted
fetch: postfix-19991231-pl08.tar.gz appears to be truncated: 78676/795621
bytes
jedgar@splat:/usr/ports/mail/postfix$ make
===>  Extracting for postfix-19991231.08
>> Checksum mismatch for postfix-19991231-pl08.tar.gz.
Make sure the Makefile and md5 file (/usr/ports/mail/postfix/files/md5)
are up to date. If you are absolutely sure you want to override this
"check, type make NO_CHECKSUM=yes [other args]".
*** Error code 1

Stop in /usr/ports/mail/postfix.
