FreeBSD en26 4.8-RELEASE FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE #0: Thu Apr 17 21:11:57 AKDT 2003 root@en26:/usr/src/sys/compile/MYKERN i386
>Description:
given a file and directory (such as a post tgz extraction),
'cd a*' aborts with error, instead of choosing the first match.
this is a real hassle, always forcing one to specify 'cd a*6'
for example. this functionality was broken in FBSD 4.x.
>How-To-Repeat:
extract a tgz file:
2 abiword-1.0.6/
18192 abiword-1.0.6.tar.gz
$ cd 'a*' should be sufficient to enter abiword-1.0.6/ ...
>Fix:
stop 'cd' from aborting, and give it the 1st match.
