--------------Boundary-00=_T11WZQ4B0GQHL45JA1CR Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit I recently purchased a Inspiron 5100 to replace my trusty (if long in the tooth) 3800. I tried 5.0-RELEASE, but issues with the CardBus support caused me to revert back to 4-STABLE. So, is there any work being done on the on-board mobile Broadcom NIC's that Dell is putting in their laptops these days? Also, I am trying to get XFree86 4.3 to work, it detects the on-board AGP chip as a ATI Radeon Mobility M7 LW (AGP) but barfs initializing. A snippet is below, the full log is attached (and will be sent to the xfree86@xfree86.org address as well) -=- (II) RADEON(0): initializing int10 (==) RADEON(0): Write-combining range (0xa0000,0x20000) was already clear (==) RADEON(0): Write-combining range (0xc0000,0x40000) (WW) RADEON(0): Bad V_BIOS checksum (II) RADEON(0): Primary V_BIOS segment is: 0xc000 (==) RADEON(0): Write-combining range (0x0,0x1000) was already clear Symbol XAAPatternROP_PM from module /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/nsc_drv.o is unresolved! -=- Any ideas?
