t6nu: |I have problem with getting my tv card woking correctly. That is Chronos |Video Shttle II. I used PHILIPS_FR1216_PAL and CARD_FLYVIDEO as they seem to |be compatible. (driver didn't detect correctly so i had to use |BKTR_OVERRIDE_CARD and BKTR_OVERRIDE_TUNER) I got radio working fine and tv |sound, but picture flickers. (antenna signal is OK since it comes directly |from satellite receiver and i also tested this card under windows with it's |own drivers and picture was fine)... i used "fxtv -antennaFreqSet weurope |-inputFormat pal"... this should be correct for me. I made a screenshot of |it: http://www.bsd.ee/~chain/fxtv.png | |what could be wrong? The noise is obvious, and you can see where the bktr chip aborts the decode and pixel transfers, and the TV card has to restart them (the rows with the horizontally shifted pixels). Your signal may be too weak or too strong for the TV tuner, or not even tuned in right. I assume a TV plugged in right there looks picture perfect? If so... Turn off AFC (Options->AFC), and dial the frequency up and down manually (F9 & F10 by default; your channel will start displaying f... numbers if you're really doing it). Try to tune the channel in better. If still problems, run down to the local Radio Shack (or Estonia equivalent ;-) and get an inexpensive signal amp to plug in behind your TV card -- one that'll let you dial the signal strength up "and down". That's something to try anyway. Randall -- Randall Hopper aa8vb@nc.rr.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-multimedia" in the body of the message
