Hi All;
I'm going to be co-locating a box at a local ISP, and have pretty much
decided on the configuration for it:
Mother Board AcerOpen AP53: AMI Plug n Play Flash Bios, Intel 430HX
Triton II chipset 3 PCI 4 ISA 256kb Pipeline Burst Cache
onboard FDC and ISA HDC
CPU Pentium 166
Hard Drive Seagate ST50127A SCSI-2 1.2gb (2 of them)
CD-Rom Drive TEAC 6X SCSI
Ram 2 - 32mb EDO 60ns
Video Card Tseng ET4000 PCI 1mb
SCSI Card Adaptec 2940, PCI/SCSI-2 50 pin w/ cable
Ethernet Card 3Com PCI 3C595-TX Fast Etherlink 10/100
I would appreciate comments and suggestions on the above hardware. We're
also planning on using the Walnut Creek CD with FreeBSD 2.1 on it.
If any of the above hardware has problems or lousy drivers, an alternate
item would be very usefull.
