IMHO it would be better to specify an "ispppcontrol" section in etc/defaults/rc.conf (and etc/rc.network too). People could use these ispppcontrol for there i4b kernel ppp devices. Additionally apply the patch to etc/rc.network to use "spppcontrol" too. If someone is using "spppcontrol" instead of "ispppcontrol" a warning will be displayed that this way is deprecated and would not work with the next the next released FreeBSD version Isn't this the correct way to make API changes?
