The following reply was made to PR kern/110407; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Andrew Lindh <andrew@netplex.net> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org Cc: Subject: Re: kern/110407: [ata] ATA drivers not recognizing Seagate CF Microdrive [regression] Date: Fri, 14 Aug 2009 16:13:35 -0400 I have the same problem (using 7.2 RELEASE). FreeBSD will not see my Seagate ST1 microdrive. Using Supermicro P4SGE with ICH4 and PATA. IDE/CF adapter. Seagate ST625211CF disk. The BIOS sees the disk. FreeBSD sees the IDE (and boots from the CD) but will not see the disk. I can boot, install, and Debian Linux with the ST1 disk...no problem... I can use an old 1G CF card with FreeBSD and that works. -- Andrew Lindh andrew@netplex.net NETPLEX 860-233-1111
