While everything is fine while playing the sound, recording sound from the line-in gives distorted sound (like in VoIP when some frames are dropping, only in this case no clean sound can be heard at all). Attempted measures to resolve: - changing HZ from 1000 to 100 - changing HZ from 100 to 4000 - disabling virtual channels - changing dev.pcm.1.play.vchanrate/dev.pcm.1.play.vchanrate from 48000 to 41000 and back - enabling dev.pcm.0.bitperfect This didn't help, after some struggling I enabled the onboard hda card and got clean sound ot it's line-in. >How-To-Repeat: Try to record sound from snd_envy24(4) card. >Fix: Use snd_hda(4) for the purpose of sound recording. >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted:
