I considered that for a moment and then wondered why you'd want to
restrict PERL to the i386 arch.  Even if the average ALPHA user hates
perl4, it's still not a convincing argument that it's architecture
dependent. ;)

Or is it?  I have no idea how much we've mangled the copy we have in
the tree and while Larry's original dist is certainly
architecture-neutral, I wouldn't put it past someone to have removed
all the "extra" stuff at some point in the past. ;-)
