What would really help would be if you were to add some code to the 
[get]{micro|nano}time functions in kern/kern_clock.c to remember the 
last time they handed out, and panic or otherwise complain if they were 
about to hand out a time prior to the previous one. 

The problems *seem* to be related to time going backwards, but our 
fearless timekeeper refuses to speculate.
