* Date: Thu, 19 Apr 2001 02:03:58 +0100 * From: Paul Richards <paul@originative.co.uk> * Now that the ports tree is tagged at release time we should stop doing * that, otherwise it's impossible to reconstruct previous releases. We have never supported reconstructing previous releases' ports trees. The tags are just for reference purposes, and that's why they aren't called RELENG_*. Can people please stop bringing this up? Peter W. explained many times that not cleaning up the cvs attic will make cvs operations on the ports tree ridiculously slow due to the large number of deleted directories. It's really a no-win situation, but the current way is the lesser of two evils and pointing out these smaller evils over and over is not going to change that. ;) -PW To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
