I am currently using 131M for:

Attic                   etc                     release
CLEAR-1.1.5.1-PATCHES   games                   sbin
COPYRIGHT,v             gnu                     secure
Makefile,v              include                 share
TODO-2.1                kerberosIV              sys
bin                     lib                     tools
contrib                 libexec                 usr.bin
eBones                  lkm                     usr.sbin


I would say 300M or so for a full tree + checkout to make it buildable
with local obj storage.
