Hi all. Does anyone out there have a solution to flushing swap, besides for rebooting the machine, buying more ram or increasing the size of the swap partition ? My swap fills up and doesn't seem to let go of its contents after I quit out of applications. I've got 32mb of RAM and am running X. [chain] ~$ swapinfo Device 1K-blocks Used Avail Capacity Type /dev/wd1s1b 44128 42000 2064 95% Interleaved The processes I'm running are [chain] ~$ ps -uaxwww | grep khetan | awk {'print $11'} /usr/local/lib/netscape/netscape.bin xearth fvwm95-2 -bash /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fvwm95-2//FvwmButtons /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fvwm95-2//FvwmTaskBar /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fvwm95-2//FvwmAuto /bin/sh /bin/sh xdaliclock xload /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fvwm95-2//FvwmPager -bash -bash rxvt top (pine) /bin/sh rxvt ps grep -bash Regards, Khetan Gajjar. --- Visit me at http://www.iafrica.com/~khetan/ UUNet-Internet Africa Operations help@iafrica.com or 0800-030-002
