https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=209839 Bug ID: 209839 Summary: java/openjdk8 - Powerpc64 Build Fails Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: ppc OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: java@FreeBSD.org Reporter: hamiltcl@verizon.net Assignee: java@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(java@FreeBSD.org) Created attachment 170796 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=170796&action=edit Build log with error from doubled patches and compiler1 build. In an attempt to build against the new BSD powerpc64 support, discovered several conditions that caused the build to fail. Error logs attached. - Openjdk8 needs updating to support BSD powerpc64. Default file defaults to a mix of Zero VM and mixed-mode. - Patches adding BSD powerpc64 support are doubled in "patch-bsd" file and causes errors. - Integration of powerpc64 patches causes build attempt against "compiler1", which does not support powerpc on any platform, i.e., AIX, Linux. - Changes needed in BSD "defs.make" to support BSD powerpc. - New patch needed for changes to powerpc "sharedRuntime_ppc.cpp". -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.home | help
