That system is not ging to work for me because the two machines are separated by about 30 miles (though I guess I could beg space on some of the mux's possibly and route a serial line that way). I was sure there was an ether based solution somewhere ? Thanks for the pointer though - Imay end up having to try and use that if all else fails. -pcf.
