oh, most cool ... but it doesn't seem to work, or I'm doing it wrong: pluto# /usr/sbin/storcon Error: Initialization failed ! (Device driver not loaded ?) there doesn't seem to be any instructions for using it, beyond doing the above, and the iir driver is definitely loaded: pluto# grep iir /var/run/dmesg.boot iir0: <Intel Integrated RAID Controller> mem 0xfc8f0000-0xfc8f3fff irq 2 at device 9.0 on pci1 pass0 at iir0 bus 1 target 6 lun 0 da0 at iir0 bus 2 target 0 lun 0 so close ... is there maybe a arg I need to type, or ... ? I'm running 4.9-STABLE updated to Jan 28th, while the driver that comes with the .zip file appears to be back to '02 (ie. not updated recently? *grin*) > http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/audible_alarm.htm tried this ... when we reboot the machine ... it goes quiet while in storcon, but once we boot to the OS, it resumes :( ---- Marc G.
