When I load atapicam with DMA enabled (hw.ata.atapi_dma = "1"), it takes a long time until the drive is recognized (about 3 Minutes). Afterwards, I can't mount the drive and 'cdrecord -scanbus' fails. I've tested an onboard JMicron JMB361 Controller and a PCI-UDMA Raid Card with Sil680 Chipset.
