Hello to the OpenOffice-FreeBSD-Team. First of all let me say that you all have done a great job for a great product!!!!!! But there are some points which made me disappointed: (1) Popwindows which are opened from the toolbar (like: Draw Functions, Font Color, etc) cannot be closed - the [x] button in the titlebar is missing. The better idea is, look at StarOffice 5.2 or OpenOffice 1.0x: the popups are part of toolbar. (2) The fontengine does not work correct: the fonts Helvetica and Times are not scaled correct. If these fonts are resized from 12pt to e.g. 96pt they are displayed in 12pt size but the surrounding-box ist resized to 96pt. (3) Statusbar-objects: After inserting the date-object in the statusbar, OO1.1Beta writes out a core-dump. (4) Startup-time: much too looooooong! I hope these points could be solved. For me the first point is the most important. Again: Many thanks for porting OO to FreeBSD - you did a great job! Please go on on this path!!! Best reagrds Jürgen Dankoweit PS: I'm running OO1.1Beta1 on FreeBSD 4.7 stable with SMP-Kernel on a DualPentiumPro (2x200MHz, 1MB Cache), 1GB RAM, Matrox G450 PCI (32MB), GUI: Gnome 1.4.2 ============================================================= Homepage: www.juergendankoweit.no-ip.org (von 19:00-22:00Uhr)
