They stopped supporting those methods as in they do not provide support for issues with such installations. The methods still work, e.g., for developers. But they didn't provide support for FreeBSD anyway. Quoting the announcement: However, after those six months have elapsed, these methods will become unsupported, which means issue reports will no longer be accepted.
