I would vote for just printing what is found by default and 
a -v option to give all kinds of debugging information, but
then the screen should also freeze after each screen full of
debugging info, in the past I had problems with the NCR driver
and I had to reboot like 10 to 20 times before I got enough
of the messages that were flying by.
