I've never tried it, but if you've installed the source distribution for 
it (i.e., your /usr/src/share/doc is populated), you can make the 
handbook in any format you wish. Take a look at the make file 
/usr/share/mk/bsd.sgml.mk. You could instruct it to make SGML documents 
(like the handbook, or the FAQ) in ASCII, LaTeX or PostScript.
