Oh, there's a few more things: 1) There is no #1 2) /etc/rc.conf needs to be updated. Most things that used to be on by default relating to network are now off. 3) /modules and /kernel* likely should be removed once you get things upgraded. There's some other files that can be removed as well, but the current archives are full of *that* discussion.
