https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=200181 Bug ID: 200181 Summary: Unable to launch X on FreeBSD 11-Current Product: Base System Version: 11.0-CURRENT Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: misc Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: jsmith@resonatingmedia.com Created attachment 156764 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=156764&action=edit Log of X attempting and failing to initialize. Problem description: When attempting to launch X on FreeBSD 11-Current (AMD64), the X server crashes. Suspecting this may be due to a problem with the ATI/AMD Radeon drivers, I switched to using the vesa graphics driver. Even with using vesa in a failsafe manner, the X display server is still unable to launch. A copy of my Xorg log file is attached. My video card is a Radeon HD 6410, which is not listed as working or not working in the compatibility matrix (https://wiki.freebsd.org/Graphics). I will be happy to provide further information on my hardware or its configuration upon request if it will help. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
