hello, i've just been through chapter 18 localization and i've experienced difficulty with making keymap work. the thing is that keymap does not do anything without LANG env.var. being set (fully). first, i don't understand why this is so. second, there's no clearly stated this dependency in handbook. yeah, the handbook says about setting LANG up but as i do not want to set all the LCs i didn't set any of them and decided to try scrnmap (which worked) and keymap (which didn't) first. only after that i wanted to start adding LC_COLLATE and some others. therefore i reckon it would be better to clearly state this dependency (which i still don't understand). thanks for the handbook anyway! regards, martin
