I'm starting to look at the same issues, and so far the only answer has been: the freebsd-clusters list (appears dead) http://people.freebsd.org/~nik/advocacy/myths.html (links to BSD clustering...many of which appear dead) A google search turned up these links (after many dead links): http://daily.daemonnews.org/view_story.php3?story_id=2846 http://phoenix.physast.uga.edu/klingon/ There's also ports/net/pvm (parallel virtual machine), but I haven't looked into it yet.
