I don't think that the problems are technical so much as political, something which generally sucks given that the last thing the free software community needs to be doing is shooting its feet off and generally handing the boys at microsoft an even more overwhelming advantage ("you can't crush us! hah! we plan to commit suicide through sheer stupidity and ego way before we'll let that happen!" :-) Oh well.
